How can you tell if a league allows owning Multiple Teams ?

I joined a $200 million league recently .. though I should know it is not a good idea to enter such a league without being somewhat familiar with the league members... one team has traded 14 players to another team....

one teams payroll has gone from down $20 million +/- .. the other teams payroll has gone up $20 +/-million ...Waivers have not even run yet... this is where you want to say to Bernie... "GET ME OUT OF THIS LEAGUE !! "

So Bernie - how serious is TSN/SO about enforcing the rules

Postby ROBERTMAVIN » Wed Mar 14, 2007 8:47 am

Fair Play policy

Please be respectful of your league-mates throughout the season so that all may have a pleasant environment in which to play. The following behavior will not be tolerated:

* Tanking. You may not intentionally throw games, under any circumstances.
* Collusion. You may not conspire with another manager, by making trades or by changing your team settings when playing against that team, to achieve any sort of anti-competitive goal, e.g. to help a team win, or to gang up on another team.
* Offensive language. You may not communicate with other managers in a manner that they could find offensive.

If you violate any of the above rules, at our discretion, SportingNews.com will seize control of your team and you will not be eligible for a refund. Repeat offenses will result in a ban from ever playing the game again.

use the contact us link and send a email to TSN, couple that with a PM to Bernie, thrid that with calling the managers out in the league.

This is the reason you never join 200 mil autoleagues.

I agree with that is the reason to avoid $200 million.. I have done your recommended steps 3 and 4.. no responses yet.. I will follow up with your first two recommendations

I almost joined that league until I read the advanced rules and realized that people could own more than one team in that league. Bobm if you or Geekor would be interested in running some kind of live draft for 200 mil I would really be interested in joining. I also am looking for a 2007 league I bought a couple of credits right away but most of the 2007 leagues are continuations of things that have been running awhile or autodraft. I really want a chance to think about my draft picks for 2007.

If we could ever get that $100M, partial live draft going....or I would eve be up for a $200M league, partial or full live draft. DO all live drafts have to be done on the boards now? Penngray no longer has his site?

I have asked the manager who created this league if that a feature he used.. and then did not tell anyone of build it into his league name...

the individuals who were making trades on a regular basis for the last two days have not responded to any of the league mail messages...

Question of Bernie is that if this owning multiple teams is activated, how do you tell.. BEFORE you join.. or even one you are int eh league ??

I've beaten teams with over 30m more than me in salary before. Don't fret, but also realize that it's a 200M league and you can always match up well against anybody now matter what the teams cost. For any loss you take to the higher priced team, you should be able to beat up the cheaper one.

Always be wary about joining leagues w/o looking at the owner list before jumping in.

ANY LEAGUE BEFORE YOU JOIN

there are the league option to the right (the left shows the divisions/managers). To the right it will say the salary cap, waviers or not, Dh or not. Right under that part there is a link that says more options (or something very close to that). If you click on that link the rest of the options will pop down, showing the cap penalty for drop and IF multiple managers are allowed.
