Finally finally won an 05 title. In 02 it was no problem, in 03 I made the playoffs in half my teams with only 1 title to show for it, seems like every year my winning % and # of titles go down. But finally (took a theme league to do it!) took home a ring, too bad the Angels lost tonight though!

Congrats! Now that I've got the net back fulltime, I'll be gunning for a few titles to make up for lost time! 8)

I hear ya geekor. It took me 20+ teams this year before I won my 1st title. Now I have 2. In 02' and 03' I got the 1st one fairly quick and went on to many more.

congrats Geekor..i just won my first 2005 title too after about 40 plus tries? twas a tour team too and im just a fill in so it was extra sweet.

geekor do you have to get on the boards and brag about depriving me of my first title. :P Seriously, congrats on your win. I was just happy to get a winning team, and at least eek out a credit. Especially satisfying as I was not at all happy with this team, and expected it would stink. Maybe, I need to dislike all my teams this much during pre-season.

and congrats Jeep, I'm very suprised you just got your first. You're the guy I see there year in year out with a lot usually. Guess you are struggling like me in 05.

vince, both our teams tied with the same record and you had a better H2H. I purposely set my rotation so Clemens wouldn't go agsint Zambrano, and luckily it worked out when Prior stole game 5 from Zambrano. OTherwise it would have gone straight to a game 7, and then anyones game. I'd sayI was more lucky than good :?

I was kind of surprised when I noticed Clemens was not penciled in for game 1. Turned out really well for you with Clemens holding me to 1 run for 11 innings. That turned out to be a big win as I got nothing out of my great pitching in that game. Of course, the other thing that kills me is Hal using BJ Ryan in a blowout in game 5. Apparently making him "tired" for game 6. Leaving my pen to Chulk and Farnsworth :roll: . Well it was fun to at least get to the finals. Again congrats Geekor.
