Fun Facts with 1986 set

Fun Facts with 1986 set

thinking of conjuring up a league where you would have to own bob l. gibson and juan agosto. too bad there aren't 12 of these guys so we could each have one. first time ive EVER seen a sp/rp with a fatigue factor of the first inning as a STARTER!
force him into an opponents rotation, slow hook, bullpen conservitive, and play in the kingdome. I think your computer would blowup.

another fave, human walk machine jason thompson, with absolutely zero ob chances against lhp. problem is he literally walks everywhere, (which is true if you remember the lumbering lug) so he's a d.p., waiting to happen, and would need a homer to score.

also thought the pricing on the one sided cards was way to high for a standard league...daniels, bryant, c. davis, mazzilli. way too much for a platoon, although I already own 3 of them,. but its a 100m league, and may not be able to afford what it costs me elsewhere there either. almost worthless in non-dh leagues

I disagree about Bryant and Daniels. Put Lawless or Tracy Jones with them and you have a great player.

Check out Greg Walker's card. His injury rating is a 3 vs LHP and a 2 vs RHP. So he has a 2.5 injury rating? Probably more like a 2.25 as he will face many more RHP than LHP.

Why are we talking about the 1986 game in this forum instead of the 1986 forum anyway?

Because in the 1986 thread, there isn't one topic posted on the new set, so I assumed no one was using it, and all the theme and draft invitations are here.
those are great platoons, but only if its a dh league, unless you want to put Kal or Bryant out there....which wouldn't be unprecedented, but awfully scary.

Dude -- glad to find your handle here.....

We're going to try and gear up for a freebie 1986 and get that started before the 2007 teams drop.....so far I've only gotten my bro Mark & Al Hogg -- dunno whassup w/ Curt, etc.

You in something already? You got room for a few more? Hit me here or on PT....

These are some weird cards. I like the S1 pitchers and the unbalanced injury card. I think the unbalanced cards mentioned are too expensive.

My observation - stolen bases are common and cheap. (For example, $540,000 for a guy with 107 stolen bases.)

And speaking of the .54 guy with 107 SBs...is everybody seriously putting him in their top 10? Haven't gotten him once and I been putting around 10-12.

I created an all speed team trying to set a record for team SB and Coleman didn't make the cut.

You have to actually be on base in order to steal a base.

I had to go weak somewhere so I did at SS. Mariano Duncan. :( But hey....He's fast!
