Hey Canuk...you asked this before...and I had provided an answer which you disagreed with and that's of course OK!...but this was also another instance when there was a question about Petco and hitter's balance....you got answers (thread was Petco Lineup Help) and didn't agree...and then asked again. I think the current thread you started more recently proves the point--you say you're always top in pitching and last in hitting and haven't won with that strategy at Petco...isn't that what the vets have been saying on these threads?????
I'm not trying to be a jerk at all---just trying to let you know that there's been consistency in the answers from some folks who have done well.

Grenke sucked for me in Petco. I didn't want to risk Gobble. Even Nate Robertson is sucking right now.

Overall maybe a couple mil more on pitching than I'd think to spend, mostly because you seem to have a lot of relivers for mid innings--which you likely won't need with those starters. Percival is great for Petco. I think Clemens is overkill with that staff--ither *SPs are nice fits at half the price (Pedro and Maddux come to mind...even Milton or Eaton but there are others).
On offense you have some clear Petco winners--Kendall, Suzuki, EYoung. I really don't like AROD in that park at all--be patient but if he tanks you'll want to try to shop him around and get a LH hitter who mashes righties if possible--you really don't have that right now. In fact, you may be abit weak against righties in the power dept. [b:3f6402b3b0]Remember that splits are non-linear and become less significant as you go up in price. i.e., the 6R on a delucci type is not nearly as strong as the 3R on Snow when you compare the right sides of those cards, so don't value your lefty-righty bias simply by the "shortcut" splits--they're cliff notes and only a relative guide for that player.
[/b:3f6402b3b0][b:3f6402b3b0]Different story on a big righty if you have someone like Jeter or Vladdy--both are good for your park with all the nat hits. [/b:3f6402b3b0]
Best of luck to you!
