Travis Snider?

Travis Snider?

Has anyone used 2008 Travis Snider as a DH fulltime? His card looks like a steal at 1.48! I was thinking of useing him.

I used him as the full-time DH on my very first 2008 team.

I didn't say that he was the best thing ever but why the hang up with the K's? An out is an out. There are better outs and there certainly are worse outs than a K. 38 doubles and a .738 OPS for 1.48 isn't too bad however.

873 ops vs rhp not bad! Might have 2 platoon with bill hall. Maybe D. Murphy of the mets would be better than snider?

Murphy would definitely be better, but he should be since he's nearly three times as much. At the very least, you are on the right track for getting a DH; pick someone who plays absolutely horrible defense so that all of their value is in their hitting.

I've used him, I generally platoon him depending on park (despite his rather good OBP vs. LHP) but he's good enough to hold his own if someone else gets hurt...

One of the best values in the set.

Any experienced Strat player knows that strikeouts are much preferable to groundballs/double plays...

Used him vs. RH's only on this small ball team. Blalock hit vs. LH's. He also covered for Hank when he got hurt.

The #'s speak for themselve. I was very happy with Snider.
