Ichiro

I've never played in Coors and I've never had Ichiro. Is he good in Coors? Is speed important in Coors or do you just go for the best sluggers, high homerun guys? Would you sacrifice a 1 or 2 up the middle for sluggers in Coors?

CC ive never played coors myself but it seems to me that most of the managers that do want bangers..and if they arent bangers they atleast want guys w/ N power both ways.

If you go with ALL bangers, you'll have alot of 1 run HR's.

You still need guys to get on... :o

You guys both make good points. So I'm assuming Ichiro is good for Coors then? :D

Personally, I wouldn't pay for speed in Coors. Why waste an out trying to steal when you really want people on base for your big boppers.

OB in front of the sluggers is probably the most important so those 1-run dingers become 2 & 3 run-dingers.

I can understand that...but...there aren't many hitter's parks in my league I think so speed could be useful on the road. And his defence is something everyone should want. I pretty much think I'll keep him...I just wanted to hear others' opinions on whether speed matters or not, etc.

I've never played in Coors either, but I would think that OB and N-power are the critical factors for hitters, to keep innings going and take advantage of HR possibilities. I would think that a W-power hitter should be avoided, and that high GBA guys would be a minus too. I expect that the cost-benefit of an extra base is less in Coors, so that speed (both stealing and stretching) is less valuable.

I also would think that defense is more important than usual, since you need to capitalize on every chance to get outs.

Again, though, I haven't played a team there.

Isn't Ichiro an "N" on both sides in regards to power? Yeah, his defence is a plus.

I'm actually going to make Ichiro a waiver "drop" if I have to. I have too many guys that are stronger against lefties and gotta even it out a bit.

General Rule- everyone is better in Coors!

It's pitching that is the trick!
