You have to realize that even a card like Clemens will have a high era and whip in Coors, just the nature of the beast, and that half the rolls are off the hitters cards..
So NO BP HR's on the hitters cards. If the whip is a little high, better than the HR's! Cheaper is better (though personally I prefer 1 good * sp, say like Burnett then 4 cheapies) plus 3 good, or 2 good and 2 ok rp's. Remember that because the hitters will get more hits, your sp's won't last as long, and the rp's will get more work.
Obviously look for hitter that have lots of BP Hr's. Natural HR's are more expensive, and not as necessary at home, since the BP HR will do the trick. Yes you need OBP to go with that (a 3 run bomb is better than a 1 run bomb), speed is generally not necessary at all.
For cheap pitchers I'd look at Lackey, Glavine, Vargas, Batista, Bedard, Thomson. Rp's Heilman is awesome, with Linebrink, Shields, Witasick, Majewiski all cheaper and dependable.
Cheaper hitters, Gibbons, Murton, Shelton, GLaus, Floyd, ARam are all useful. Everyone can get a stud and have them go well, but you need the right mix of value players as well.
