Not only that,

Muholland pitched 9 innings in relief?????

Never seen that before. When did he get tired???
Why not use different relievers?????

That's pretty cool Tim!

It is nice to see games like that. It is what 'I' really love about the game. Even with all of HAL's dummy moves, it is neat to see something new like that!

Mulholland was probably the only pitcher left in the bullpen. He got tired at the very best two innings after his "number of innings".

Hal only used 4 pitchers for 23 innings, on the other side, 6 were used????

Sabathia 7 inn
Hermanson 3inn
Street 4 inn
Mullholland 9inn

Doesn't make much sense to me

Well, the 4 other starters were probably not available. Hal usually does not call a starter to relieve unless it is really forced to, like when the last available reliever has been injured, or has been pinched-hit.

(although, it should be said, I have seen starters being used as SP and closers on the very same team....that is a possibility that TSN should consider removing, in my opinion....)

As for the two other relievers, they might have been used in the prior two games. If that is the case, then they were not available for the game, or they would have entered in the game tired.

You could argue that Hal should be more flexible in letting tired relievers to come into a third consecutive game, but owners would soon take advantages of that flexibility and would probably create a bigger problem.

I love the headline....

[b:46deca29d4][color=red:46deca29d4][/color:46deca29d4]Southern Avenue Avengers blow out Theakston Sixers, 9-0[/b:46deca29d4]

IF you did not read the box score, you would simply think it was another blow out!!

I found neither the game nor the headline all that amusing

And, Hal refused to use Nathan altogether

And, it was a new lowlight in the futility of these hitless wonders........
