I like Luis Gonzalez! Are you platooning him at 1B with Erstad? If you are not starting him somewhere, even as just a platoon mate, then you don't need his salary.

I like Hideki Matsui. I would drop Langerhans for him but I don't know where you will get the money to do so. Who would you drop to do this?

I could deactivate Scoenweis (replace him with a 500 K SP). downgrade beckett to Ming, get a slightly cheaper b/y catcher , and move langerhans for matsui.

Other option is get Posdenick for Langerhansm and Chad (a 1b -3) for Erstad

Aloso, is it worth trying to trade Nefi and Smoltz for Roillins?

I can swithc out Luis Gonzalez (DH vs. LHP) for E young and get matsui that way as well

Don't downgrade Schoenweiss. He should do good for you.

Here are a couple of suggestions for the same money as Chad Tracy and Pods which you say you can do.

1. Jeff Conine or Hillenbrand for 1B and Jason Michaels for LF

2. Jose Hernandez/JT Snow platoon for 1B and Matsui for LF

I like either of the above better than Tracy/Pods or your current Erstad/Granderson.

One thing you won't have to worry about is a backup LF because Matsui cannot become injured! :D
