Injury Prone players

Postby chasenally » Tue Mar 20, 2007 1:49 pm

Seeing this topic on the opening day of my season. I grabbed up Escobar, after reading what Cristano1, Cummings and geekor had to say. I then took it 3 steps further. Escobar injury 6, Chris Gomez (5) Maicer Izturis (4) Robinson Cano (3). Last night was the 1st day and they are a combined 9 for 34. Escobar is 0 for 10. I have Loretta backing up Cano and Gomez. Gutterrez is backing up Escobar. Will update in a week if anyone is interested on how they are doing. My home park is Ameriquest with RFK, Angels and Gr Am Ball Pk in the East.
After 1 week
Escobar 42 AB .167 .239 .310 9 gm out
Gomez 79 .325 .371 .373 0
Cano 83 .278 .329 .367 1
Izturis 8 .375 .583 .625 0

Here is an injury-prone team of mine. Escobar is about the only bright spot. Oh and of course, Dioner Navarro....

If you love Escobar's card so much, why not just take his money, okus the money for his back ups, and by Migs Cabrera? Maybe not as many BPHRs vs-L, but how 'bout those 2-baggers?

Seems like a similar card to mee, albeit for almost twice the dough.
