To me Paul Phillips is the best backup C in the deck no matter who your starting C is. Great hitting for under a buck! His arm won't kill you either.

What about Navarro against lefties for under a mil? He's got the injury risk but that card is awesome against lefties for that price.

Have Mauer on one team...hovering around .400 all season. Definitely worth the investment

Mauer's great and despite his #2 injury he still has 600 Ab's.
