My very first team was an 2003 team, but it was under a different ID. I came across it about 4 years ago. All I remember was 62 wins and 100 losses.

This team could do nothing right. I had Randy, Schilling Colon, Moyer and C.C. as my SP and they could not win. I had A, Jones and a bunch of 1 Fielders in Dodger Stadium and thought I could win with Pitching and Def. as the record shows it was a painful first season. SGT D

Four 30 HR guys and 80 wins. Not too bad but still finished last.

I darfted an almost exclusively Expos team... just a few minor tweaks here and there (I got like 24 out of 25 players I drafted... imagine that). I was about 20 games out by the 1/4 mark and spent the rest of the season making about a dozen or so add/drops. Final salary that I had to work with was about $70 mil.

I do remember some kind "vet" offering some end of season advice that perhaps next time I should refrain from dumping so much salary. 8)

I think this was my first team. How do you verify which was your first cuz might could have been an 80s team but don't recall. I do remember making a trade with this team, and the cool thing was we met in the finals so you can say the trade helped both of us.

Very fun team because I made all kinds of free agency moves. That's sort of my thing though. I love shifting things around to adjust to situations. It's working for me too. I finished 95-67 (and 1st place) with my second team. Made lots of moves there too. No trades, but lots of free agency switches...throughout the year. In my two current (also 2006 versions) teams I've made a ton more moves in free agency than everyone else combined...lol. I love it and it works....for me. I'm in first place in one league and trail by a game in the other current league .So don't let anyone tell you, you can't win by making lots of moves in free agency. Not true!

You can check out my blog for a nice account of my first team (currently in progress). It's funny how quickly you have to learn to swim.
