How much money to keep at start of season

I tried it before and it didn't work out very well for me. However with the team I'm playing right now...I should have. I had Brad Penny get hurt in his FIRST game and I had to drop him because I had to have another pitcher available to play.

Oops, that was a mistake. Hal will select a reliever to start for you when a starter goes down. It rarely has as large an effect as having a a star player go down for 15 games. In my 109 win team, I had a lousy starter go out for 15 games and KRod started three times for me, winning all three times.

Oh man...yer kidding me? :( I will remember that for next time. Actually for Penny...it was something like 15 games. :(
