Time for a change...

Look to re-iterate,

I'm not personally blaming Bernie.

It's just on over once a year something like this happens, games gone, delayed, whatever.

Not to mention the little delays which aren't as big of a deal.

I think I've been mostly patient, but sometimes these things just build up and you don't see much of a reason to keep wading them through.

The community has shrunk and IMHO had degraded over the 5 years I've been here.

That coupled with errors apparently every month now I don't see much purpose in staying here.

I have a couple keeper league I'm part of, but other than that I think I am done with SOM. I already have my teams done for those keeper leagues, so nothing new to buy.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll be joining those of us before me, Penngray, Mav, jaserD, TRich, etc etc etc (sorry if I forgot people :P).

I'll play out the string, but no 1/2 sale or gimmick is bringing me back.

i've spent all I will spend here, and those thousands (over the years) were fun for the most part, but I'm 98% sure I'm done here.

So have fun guys, but geekor isn't being part of this anymore.

Stick a fork in me I am done too.

I have been around since the begining, although I haven't had the success as some have, it has been enjoyable. I played strat and read Sporting News as a kid to present.

Having been in the service industry for more then 30 years, I can assure you this is no way to take care of a problem. If I took care of mt customers in this way, I would have been seeking employment elsewhere, not to mention the loss of customers.

I have 2 credits to use, if and when I can get back on and that is it. Probably let my current subscription run at as well with SN.

This is really bad this time. 2007 has been down all day.

Personally, I don't blame Bernie, and I think he does a good job with what he's given to work with.

May be time to look elsewhere, though.

1.Some serious compensation is in order. Not a free team, or 1/2 price crap-- but multiple free credits.

2. These technical issues have got to be fixed. Once or twice a year is understandable, but this is bulls_it.

I love this game, but I will not be taken for granted. Bernieh aside, I get the feeling that this is a cash cow for TSN, with little regard , even bordering on contempt, for the customer.

FIX IT, COMPENSATE US, OR I AM F**KING OUT OF HERE.

I share everyone's frustration.I wish I could leave but I'm too hooked. As I was trying to check my teams tonight I saw this and I just had to laugh. This should be the the TSN/SOM motto:

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

That about sums it up.

Bill I thinks it's funny, cause when all the SOM football crap went down, I'm the one that talked a few of the guys (like you) into staying and doing the baseball thing.

Trust me, I've been through it all, I;m not in any way saying this is the worst I've seen, just I'm done putting up with it.

Please see the announcement at the top of this forum for an update.

We're giving out free credits - multiple ones for the more active managers - to try and make it up to you.

This sucks. Absolutely. I don't deny that our track record has been spotty this month. But aside from some serious infrastructure changes we're making to fix that (I talked to my boss and heads will SERIOUSLY roll), we've got a lot in store for Strat-O-Matic Online in the coming months.

Thanks for the credits and apologies, Bernie...

I am no Technical expert, but I understand that technical difficulties occur in any and every field...It is inconvenient as well as unfortunate for all concerned on both sides, but hopefully it will all be taken care of shortly and everyone will forget about the problems once they are fixed - And hopefully for a long time running this time.

Your efforts are appreciated and hopefully our patience and loyalty will payoff both ways.

It's dejavu all over again. This kind of crap is what happened at the beginning of the end of football. Free credits for the screw ups, promises of better things to come and then one day, no football. It got to the point that the free credits for football were thrown out there like Shriners throw out candy in a clown car. There are probably some of us that are still sitting on free football credits for an abandoned game.

Strat-O-Matic is the draw for TSN as far as I am concerned. I only play the other games here because TSN hosts Strat, and I can get it all in a one shot deal. Lose Strat, and TSN's other games lacks the strength to keep me as a customer. There are better fantasy games elsewhere. I am sure others feel the same way also.

TSN has a business decision to make.

Like what Bernie? I've asked this before only to get some generic answers. I'd like to see the new 2007 season of Strat come out much earlier than April of 2008.
