Just curious what year everyone started.

My first team also won the division but lost in the semi's. This team will have some interesting challenges in 2005.

Interesting -- several of us had success with our first teams. Does this mean only people who have early success continue playing?

More likely it means that those who had successful early teams are more likely to try to repeat it with a 2005 team. :)

Although there may be some 2001/2002 teams that did not do well but would be great using the 2005 cards.

I" may be interested except I didn't start till 02.

The problem is when looking at my first team, I would have 2 SS and 3 1b in the 05 game, which means some very expensive bench players and something I'm not interested in doing that way.

Geekor, would love to have you. If your first team was in 02, you're eligible.

I think we're all going to have similar challenges. Like you, my team will have two starting SS's and three first baseman with higher salaries.

The trick may be your autodraft rankings. There's no rule about what order you have to put players. You can put your most undesirable players from your first team at the bottom of the list and hope someone else gets them in the autodraft.

yea BC, well put me down as a maybe right now. I need to really look and see if that will even work. I know for a fact that 2 of the 1b are almost never drafted in 05, but 1 of them was good in both 01 and 02, so maybe someone else will take them...
