Serpentine draft, but stadiums must be picked in the last round. As I said earlier, this is to slightly compensate for the fact that teams picking first will have a slight edge, given that there is no cap. Order will determined by lottery numbers---with 000 being best and 999 being worst, so perhaps we should put a state/province for lotto-pick3 besides our names.

BTW, I would like to make a special invitation to new Strat players. Live drafts might appear stressful, but there exists a tool helping with the draft within the rules I have set (with one exception, see below). The tool is a computer program which gives you a hint at the best available players, as determined by popular vote among the best strat players as well as by a rating formula, anywhere in the draft. You can download the program at:

http://www.startournaments.com/draft_guide/draft_guide.htm

(click dsim82, I have downloaded the program and it appears save, but you should always have an anti-virus program set in your computer before downloading anything, as you all know).

Also, you can refer to a manual list, that you can find here:

http://www.startournaments.com/star_2005/d_anal/aps.htm

THE EXCEPTION: Be aware, though, that both the program and the manual list do NOT contain a certain number of players that SOM-TSN are using. This is because the program and the manual list have rules which forbid the use of players with limited at-bats/innings pitched (whereas SOM-TSN is a bit more liberal). I will list these players with my own estimated ranking before the draft.

To give you a hint at the first 12 players being picked by the Strat players in the Star tournaments:

1-Bonds
2-Edmonds
3-Rolen
4-Randy Johnson
5-Beltre
6-Pujols
7-Drew
8-ARod
9-Santana
10-Berkman
11-Helton
12-Walker

A couple of explanations: RJ at the 4th spot might be surprising, given his popularity in cap-TSN leagues. But don't forget that, in a non-cap leagues, most of the lefty-crashers such as Marrero and Mench will definitively find their way to Strat rosters. His value, as a result, takes a bit of a hit. Walker at the 12th spot might also be surprising, but don't forget that, in non-cap leagues, injuries do not affect teams in a same way as in a cap leagues. You will have plenty of money to make a roster change and buy yourself a 4M right fielder for the time Walker will be injured---take note, though, that, being limited to 25 players, having a substantial number of injury-prone players might shrink your bench substantially.

Also, we haven't decided on going with DH or not. (Please note that the tools I have provided the links above are for NON-DH leagues).

So, please provide a state/province for the draft order as well as your preference with regards to DH or non-DH.
