trade offer..need advice

Postby colbtq » Sat Dec 03, 2005 4:11 pm

the rookie is checking in....lol.

I am a rookie playing this online...but I have played stratomatic the board game for years. Yes I do know there are some differences...but still......I also mentioned that I wanted to see what waiver claims I get before I decide on a trade.

By the end of this year...you will be chalking up my great team to beginners luck:)

hey franca!

A little secret... to be honest, the bad part of the deal for you really is that I'm gonna drop Hernandez and Zito, so they'll be available after waivers anyway.

he wanted from me rollins and zombo, for pedro, and other none interesting players, i told him i be willing to trade rollins and a scab pitcher for pedro, and scab hitter, but he decline that offer, thats fine with me, i endup trading rollins for clayton who i wanted to begin with for this team. who knows it it was good deal, but at least it puts about 2million in my bank for the frenzy.

I agree with goredsox wholeheartedly...

And LMAO @ Coffee (who I know very well, and is a great guy) and anyone else who gets all bent out of shape when I call their bluff on what I think is a fleecing. Defensive reactions tell a lot about the truth, ever watched a McClelland news conference?

Besides it's only one man's opinion anyways, maybe I'm wrong... (Hint, hint, count up the total chances on each side of the two cards...)

On the other move, Rollins is pretty good although SS is a much easier position to find someone decent than 2B. Zambrano (I assume you mean the big one) is someone a lot of managers don't like due to his high WHIP, but for the right manager in a hitters' setup and say in the #3 SP slot he can be a good value.

Depending on my budget and what I think I might have available after getting my 9 position players I'd probably do that deal, actually (from the Pedro side.) Of course I don't know which parks you guys are in.

If you're planning on spending a lot of money on offense and need a value guy, I'd stick with Pedro.

My two cents.
