player with speed in front of him - he is the ultimate hitter for the price. I like a Freel/Pierre combination in a Non HR park like Fenway or PNC - or even Petco. His range and low e rating(e2) if you surround him with decent arms in LF and RF. Plus he never gets injured. He has always scored 110+ runs for me and stolen 60-80 bases - but never finishes in the top 10 in SB pct.
I don't like him in a low singles park like Safeco(As a leadoff hitter) or in the 2 spot without a speedster in front of him tho. The GB+ on a 7 roll with someone fast in front of him sees to raise his avg 15-20 points.
If you can find a better arm in CF inexpensively - then I suppose he could work well as a DH both ways, but I'd rather have cheaper DH's and Pierre in CF with better arms surrounding him.
