so according to the rules we can have only 1 ex player up to 4 million and only 1 player that has no team affiliations up to 2 million?? Is this correct??

As I recall, there isn't a limit to only one, but you must follow the roster requirements as far as carded players.

I love this theme by the way, have played the last several years. Won it one time with the Braves. I would play this theme (or similar) over and over again, love it. I'm using my favorite team (Cardinals) this time, though that might not be so wise as far as winning is concerned, but it's sort of the point. And in my experience there is more parity in this theme than you might expect.

Hi nythawk,

The only roster rule is that you must have 20 players on your base team at all times during the season. If you had the money and wanted to add 8 players upto that 4 mil. limit you could. Or any combo of 4 and 2 mil. guys just have 20 guys on your base team and you can spend upto 4 mil. for a guy that used to play for your team ie the Alfonso Soriano example used in the rules. By me playing with the Yankees I could add him if nobody takes the Cubs and he isn't above 4 mil.

On a related note its last year rosters that are used so that means no CC, A.J. or Tex for me for the Yankees this time.

Hi Guys,

Wow glad this filled quickly (this and my keeper are my 2 favorite leagues that I play in). This year instead of seeding each division based purely on record, which would have put both of the teams for the World Series in the same division and kept them from meeting in our World Series, I gave the Phillies the #1 seed and used records after that. For the tie breaker I used run differental 97 wins Cubs were better than the Raysl. 89 wins a 3 way tie Mets, White Sox, then Yankees.

So the divisions are as follows:

East
Rays
Cardinals
Cubs
Yankees

Central
Angels
Dodgers
Red Sox
White Sox

West
Phillies
Diamond Backs
Brewers
Mets

When the cards come out I will get us going with the league and password.
