This was interesting ...

Thank you Aray and Turtle for advice:

1. Does computer automatically tend bring in a Lefty against a Righty and NOT factor in that he may be a 7L, for example?

2. Aray, do you agree with Turtle about a RH RP/C3 that is 4L or better, for example?

Fun stuff.

I am new to SOM and actually just got my first team today and started the league. I wasn't sure how to play this exactly, but this thread has helped me understand a few things that the rules don't exactly explain. Thanks guys!

I always get Casey

HE IS A STUD! He bats .340 or better. He misses games due to injury. That guy can hit. Live with it when he is out and don't drop him. He goes down 6 to 8 times a year.

;) I got him already. I will probably keep him in PH role against both R and L.

Still learning the ropes, but everyone here seems to be a fan of the science of BB.

I feel 13 again, and I mean in a good way.

Thanks.

Yes, an C3 with a 4L or better should help and HAL will use the settings you give him - most of the time. So if you check off avoid RHB, he will for the most part. HAL (the engine that runs the game) looks at the data not the left-righty matchup.

Sometimes, his decisions baffle, though.
