Jeter's got plenty of natural hits and enough BP influence to be a decent pick for any park, albeit a tad overpriced as posted above.

But I disagree with Jack Wilson--maybe in a Petco, but that w power to the rightside is a killer--and then his disgusting lack of OBA vs lefties makes his utility limited in a pitcher's park vs southpaws. I've had him in Petco and did OK, but he's iffy IMO. A righty slanted righty with w power better be a leadoff guy with at least 45 or so OBs for my liking. And the double plays--ugh

Thanks for all the replies folks. he is not do badly for me so I think I will keep him ( I am just about half way through the season) I have just put him 5th behind Morneau against righties and he has started to drive in some runs with Ford and Kotsay in the 1 and 2 spots.

Next team I'll see about Rollins or soemone a little less pricey.

ARay I never had quite THAT power out of him, but I'd say that's pretty representative.

He ain't chopped liver, that's for sure.

ARay--I agree wholeheartedly--it is shameful to be a Mets fan.
But you've admitted it, and that's a healthy first step. I'm very proud of you!

As part of your recovery, you'll have to shave your head until Pedro decides to come home from Latin America--he's special you know.

So are you on Long Island or maybe are a NJ wanna-be?

What about Izturis? I've got him, I picked him up as part of a trade I made dropping D.Lee for Klesko. I like that he switch hits and does the "little things", but I wonder how he has fared for others?

Izturis is what he is, don't expect all that much in the production end of it, but he's still livable hitting wise. What he does bring to the table you can't find in the box score. I'd never hesitate to have him on my team.

I don't like his card for 5M, but...

Etdefender gets incredible production both offensively and defensively from Izzy...I like Everett a lot better for half the price - injuries and all...But actually, my favorite SS in 05' has been the combination of Everett with Furcal - For 5M even...Especially in RH Parks. But they seem to perform up to value or surpass it. Furcal can fully replace Everett when he goes down, pinch run, cover 2B as well and get the job done...

In a Lefty power park like Shea tho, I usually just go with Furcal...For only 2.43M, furcal is absolutely my favorite SS in the bunch.
