I like Turtle's s suggestion. it takes away from the fact that the early sign ups already have had their choice of prime teams

Yes, the rules have been updated to have a 1 round franchise draft after cities are picked.

I like the idea now, bu shouldn't we wait until the league is full to get our half team of hitting? I am pretty sure Detroit or Atlanta might be in demand. (Atlanta is also not close to Austin, Texas. I should get Houston by the premise of the league. Although, the Braves are much better).

I agree. Ducapa - as you know I've been thinking about this and the Atlanta franchise was my likely choice but you've essentially removed them by assigning their hitting to another team. For every 1/2 team you assign during round 1 you are removing that team from consideration for any new GM to sign up for. I don't think the 1/2 team can be assigned until after round 1 (and my preference would be for it to be after round 2). Let me know if Atlanta is on/off the available list.....

Also, has it been noted if this is leashed or unleashed?

Sorry, I had one too many beers last night when I came up with that wacky idea. Lets reverse this and we will hold the 1 team franchise draft after we fill, then you will receive a choice of half franchises by geographic proximity (it will be from the 3 closest remaining franchises). Then, finally a one round free agent player draft. We will use unleashed set. Sound better?

Could everybody edit their previous posts to be consistent with the current rules? God know I have changed so many times, so some of you have older posts with two teams or different rules copied down. Thanks.
