2010 Cards: Are injuries more prevelant?

For what it's worth, here's my high injury team from the post above:

All in all, it proved to be a very successful team and was the home team for the 1st round of the playoffs. Of course, it got swept right out by the wild card even though it was playing healthy and it was playing a team it was 9-3 against in the regular season. :(

This team amassed 56 injuries during the regular season, but was build around platoons and decent backups in order to survive the inevitable injury rolls. It was actually a really fun team, you never knew what you would see in the box scores. Playing all high injury guys allowed me to spend more on pitching, and the staff pitched really well. I also got some real good performances out of some fairly marginal guys. (Ryan Robers, Tyler Colvin and a couple of others)

Keeper leagues play with a different perspective on high injury players. Here's a $200 mil cap team that had huge injuries and a fine record:

This team had the best record in the league and almost won it all -- lost last night in the 7th game of the finals -- in spite of 71 regular season injuries for a total of (all or part of) 341 games.

We had a deep bench and got lucky, too, with 550 AB for Nelson Cruz and 472 AB for Manny Ramirez.

See no overall difference in injuries per leagues over all the games, over the years. like as probability will do in real life, some seasons, some game sets, some particular players, get more injuries, some less.
i have played seasons against teams with high risk injury players abounding, and they still sometimes get 650 + PAs out of all of them, I have seen teams with low risk injury players get devasted.
it is, what it is.
