And all along i thought the missing firing proxies were to blame for the weeks long saga.

I think it's sort of a lack of interest. I can tell there's a lack of interest when it takes longer to fill a league.

nope they are completely different, one of the reasons I barely stay around.

BITGOD (back in the good old days) you would need to rush to get into a theme league before it filled, now you wait weeks, if it fills at all.

BITGOD people were not afraid of trying new challenges, even if it meant a handicap. Now no one is

BITGOD there was frequent banter/talk/exchanges of ideas on how to build teams. Now the strategy forums get 3 posts a year.

BITGOD TSN_1056 type leagues filled once a day. Now "A gentlemens league" or "Bit hitters apply" or whatever they are called sit 1/3 filled for weeks.

BITGOD There was a general sense of community among people here. Now there are Him vs Him and general disdain for people who speak up.

BITGOD I cared... now.... nope!

I think what geekor is saying is nope the boards haven't changed at all. All the people putting out good ideas and joining creative leagues have.

Maybe geekor will help change that by coming up with a creative theme league and sign up sheet? I'll join up if you do geekor.

geekor- how ya been buddy? I remember you from way back.

So you know what I'm talking about. As I said, just got back in and it just different. It took me a week to fill a league. Back in 2003, 2 or 3 leagues would fill a day.

Theme leagues would run rampant. Have not seen one.

We should do a crazy theme league for old times.

1) No pitcher over 3 Million?
2) All Coors field?
3) No hitter over 6 Million?
4) (Insert Awesome Idea Here)

I think a Coors Field Rec League would be a great idea -- and then compare vs. one at Petco?

We should do a league in Coors then have the same exact team in Petco. A 2 team 2 league commitment with the same exact players. That's the way to go.

The only question would be $100 or $80 Mil?

I know it's only 25 bucks...

For 2 months worth of competitive fun, but I definitely think the economy is a big factor for anyone who is struggling financially. I used to have several teams running simultaneously, but now I only play one until its completed before I get another team.

Plus a good number of old friends I have played against have disappeared. I do think the game itself has improved a lot though.
