[quote:df8dc01d1f="jflatour99"]A couple of questions about the computer game (never played this format) for you guys:
- If I buy the game with cards image (at 57,95$), do I have the complete package or is there some other parts to add ?
- By cards image, does it means that I can actually look at the player's cards on my screen like if It was the paper version ?
- Is this game playable on versus mode online (vs. another human player that have the program) ?
- Can we draft, trade, etc. ?
- How long is a game (that we play ourself)
- I suppose there's some kind of computurized DICE ...[/quote:df8dc01d1f]
1) The 57.95 buys the complete game with 2011 rosters. If you want to play with older seasons you will have to buy them. I think you also still have to buy color photos of ballparks (around $30?) if you want them. The B&W stadiums look like crap.
2) Yes, cards image is the actual card
3) Can play online vs other humans, there are a lot of leagues that netplay. Learning how to set up your router for netplay is kind of intimidating at first but easy once that is done. Netplay can be frustrating at times if your connection is not good or have router issues, lots of crashes but it is fun as long as it works.
A lot of people play in play by mail leagues, where you send in your computer manager to a commish, the commish then creates a league file that everyone downloads. Then you play your team's games (either home or away) vs the other teams in the league via computer manager.
4) You can trade and draft using the strat program if you are just playing a solitaire league. For netplay and pbm leagues they do drafts and trading, trading is just email and confirming, drafting is usually done using stratdraft or email.
5) Game length 10-30 minutes, depending on what options you use.
6) The dice roll on the screen if you use that option.
