This is one of the loopholes that I pointed out to TSN many years ago. I think you should be required to lock in your starting pitchers before 6 p.m. so that your manager knows who you are going to pitch. It is totally unrealistic to allow those kinds of decisions. In the majors, teams always announce who their starting pitchers are, and then the opposing manager sets his lineup accordingly. If something happens and the announced starter is unable to pitch and the team has to make a change right before the game, the other team is always allowed to reset his lineups.
