2006 Pre-card Base Team Theme League - Check it out

Vince - I do like the idea and I think it makes sense. Does anyone have any objections? Are we limiting anyone's freedom so much you feel compelled to object? If so, feel free, because I could be swayed on this and would go with a consensus.

And PJ - yes, draft would be done in Individual League Chat room, and I would be inclined to have a time limit - say 4 hours per pick from 9AM EST to 12 AM EST and no weekends off. I want to make sure we get this done fairly promptly even though we still have approximately three weeks.

Thanks, Smitty. One more question. Lottery determines draft order, but does lowest go first or does highest go first? PJ

Lowest lottery number picks first in round 1. Also, the lottery numbers will be the [b:384e19ba7a]first[/b:384e19ba7a] pick-3 of the day in your state - whether it is mid-day or evening.

7. cslip44 - NY
8. vince0501-MI
9. PossibleJohn - OH
10. Frank M - CT
11. IndianaNick - DE

I heard from my two invites and they are in. So, we have one spot left. I will check the lotteries the day after we have our last spot filled. So, if we get one more person tonight, I will use tomorrow's lottery results. I don't play the lottery, so I hope all these states have lotteries (is there a state that doesn't have a lottery?)

Alright - we have a full boat. So, draft order will be determined based on Wednesday's lottery drawings. Lowest gets first pick in round one. And remember, highest gets first pick of FAs from undrafted base teams in round 3 of the draft.

And a thought about the FA portion of the draft, I was thinking that the league drafted in round 3 would be determined by whomever has first pick in that that round. For example, if I have the highest lottery number tomorrow, then I will have the last pick in round 1 and the first pick in round 2 for the base teams. Then I will have the first pick in round 3 as well for individual FAs from undrafted teams. If I choose a FA from an undrafted team in the National League, then that round [b:f91d46896b]must all [/b:f91d46896b]be from NL teams. Then round 4 will be from the AL teams and I will have the last pick in that round. Rounds 5 and 6 will be open. This will hopefully ensure some fairness and make things a little more interesting.

Does this make sense? Any thoughts?
