I have reentered my team and will wait another week but this is not one person holding us up. Many people waited until the last minute here.

If you dont have $25 dont sign up
If you are too busy dont sign up
If you sign up and then become busy give up your spot

This is a franchise league where your draft card is pre-determined. No need to do any research you pay and you click on your players.

This is utterly ridiculous and you say I let everyone down because I threaten to pull out when we are not filling anyway?

Very frustrating as usual.

Please try and replace me so I can bow out over the next week. If not I will let HAL run the team. I would not be enthused about competing with this group.

The west had to wait until today to start filling. All but one of us got in hours before the deadline. As to Sknsfn, I'm sure something must have come up. Waiting a week isn't all that bad.

Gene, there's nothing wrong with the group here. It happened to be one no-show and Sknsfan which we don't know of his status.
Pulling a loaded team from a 24 team league when 23 teams are loaded is the definition of letting everyone down. It forces us to scramble and spend a bunch of time trying to track down someone else and explain the league theme, etc. and hope they can bail us out. Luckily Akindian jumped in to help us when Dreamingtree (whoever that is) was a no-show. Sknsfan has had only today to get his team loaded. He may have had no chance to check in for whatever reason.

Thanks for re-entering the league. There's no reason to be angry with me. We spend a couple years together in TOTM and I know you got pretty upset when guys would delay drafts, loading teams, etc. I thought you would be the last guy to abandon ship. 24 team theme leagues are difficult to coordinate so when we had 23 of 24 I think that was a pretty good feat by our commish.

Again, there isn't anything wrong with this group. We're just as exasperated as you due to a couple guys not checking in.

Cant disagree with your statement. The other divisions put the West under the gun. Someone PM me if you find a Reds replacement otherwise HAL can handle. Hopefully a weeks notice is not letting anyone down.

The 24 team sign up was actually completed 10/28 and the league will now start 16 days later. Those of us who care about their responsibility probably checked in 50 times or more. I value my time even if others dont.

Apparently genegrid doesn't value his money since he has already paid for his team.

I would be wary of being in another theme league with genegrid knowing he might abandon the league at the last minute. It was good that he re-entered his team but apparently we will have to put up with a ghost team of indifference. However what he says now and what he does when the games actually play could possibly be different. I hope so anyway.

You had people who took over a week to build a franchise team but you want to make me out as the bad guy? Amazing. This is why people do not keep their commitments because the only backlash is against those that complain about it. Again, if they had something important come up, take a minute to post that you need a replacement.

Also, yes my time spent continually checking the thread to see if my team is up to load is much more valuable then the $$ spent for the team.

I will set my team to do as well as possible in fairness to those who made an effort here but like you LM I will be very careful of who I choose to play in theme leagues with in the future.

I see the league is now full. Unfortunately we have a whole week to wait now.

Oh well...............the all-powerful Cardinals could use the practice time

Gene, like I said, we all felt the frustration of Dreamingtree and he is blacklisted in my book. I agree that guys need to keep their commitments or find a replacement for themselves.

At any rate, it looks like we're full. I guess we'll have a whole week of spring training and checking out our chances within our divisions.
