mbrake,

Have you added the needed 0.500 MM players for Dodgers and Yankees - not sure if any other teams will be short?

Who knows, I may get one of them since I pick 20th.

[quote:d0ec56488a="mbrake"]We will have to accommodate those two specific teams by adding .50 free agents from the six draft eligible teams to meet the auto-draft requirements. Good catch, I over looked that glaring problem.[/quote:d0ec56488a]

This will have to bridge the gap until waivers for those affected teams.

Mbrake,

I thought I had the "auto-draft" part of the process sorted out, but have a question:

Quote:
YOU CANNOT DRAFT ANY PLAYER IN THE AUTO-DRAFT THAT YOU DON'T HOLD EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS SUCH AS PLAYERS THAT ARE CARDED TO ANYONE ELSE'S TEAM, NON-DRAFTED FREE AGENTS, OR LUXURY TAX PLAYERS ASSIGNED TO ANOTHER TEAM.

When looking at the Dodgers and Yankees adjusted rostesr (Belliard and Thome out for example), there are only 13 eligible hitters and no draft selections in the two-round draft. Can the auto-draft be filled out by the team selecting the Dodgers or Yankees (don't know if this applies to any other teams)? Can we can load 12 pitchers in the auto-draft?

If not, don't we need to add some $500 K hitters to these teams to keep the auto-draft from getting messy? Perhaps I don't understand the auto-draft rules correctly.

Spider

[b:cd15434617]Whoever selects the Dodgers and Yankees, each will also select two batters priced .50 from the available draft eligible teams (e.g. Royals, Indians, Orioles, Astros, Pirates and Reds minus their pre-assigned players) as compensatory picks to fill out their roster requirements from the luxury tax player losses. Make both picks when you select your team and post with your team selection.[/b:cd15434617]

This could make things a bit more challenging. But somebody has to support all you champions.

So which team doesn't anybody want? PLEASE don't let it be the Mets (I'm a Phillies fan in South Jersey) -- that would be :x
