When (if ever) do I lose the rights to a career Athletic, let's say Durazo, if I don't AD him?

Durazo has played for the A's and Diamondbacks. Since the Diamondbacks were not selected the only team he can play for in our league is for your team and no other. If you don't start the year with him on your roster he is elligible to be picked up by your team, and your team alone, during the season.

Lets say there is a player that played for 2 of the teams that were selected in our league but is not on an opening day roster for either team. That player can be picked up as a free agent anytime during the year by either of the teams that selected those teams that that player played for. No other team may pick him up ever.

That was the answer I was looking for. Thanks!

BTW, I "knew" Durazo was also a D-Back, I just have him on my list of "mine only" players and temporarily forgot about his D-Back career.

One more question. Do I have to put the three people I get in the supplemental draft on my AD card or can I fill up my card with 25 out of the 35 or so Athletics who are also eligible to be drafted by another team in our league?

Is any player eligible for five or more of our 12 teams besides John Mabry (OAK, STL, SD, PHI, FLA)? Of my Oakland players, Chris Hammond (also FLA, BOS, NYY) and Matt Stairs (also BOS, MIL, PIT) are the only others eligible for four or more teams.

Interesting Question

Postby STEPHENANDERSON 2 » Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:40 pm

I do not think that was addressed, but it would make sense that ypu could do it. You still would have the right to those 3 FA, but, if you forgot to pick one up, they should be available to all others.

Thus, you should list the FA'S at bottom 3 in your draft. Thats what I am doing, plus my other players, such as Manny and Varitek that are not available to any others.

Others opinions???????

You [b:f24fb1a444]MUST [/b:f24fb1a444]include the FA picks on your AD card.

[b:f24fb1a444]IMPORTANT RULE CLARIFICATION
If you get a non-eligible player in the AD (either he is a FA or he belongs to other team(s)) you must drop them IMMEDIATELY before waivers are run. If you end up w/ more than 2, you must drop the 2 highest salary non-FA (those belonging to other team(s)) guys first.

If you end up w/more than 2 of these players, you MUST attempt to make your self whole again through the waivers process.

Obviously, TSN rules have no choice but to be adhered to... ie having 2 catchers, 10 pitchers, etc.
