as a software developer, a project manager and someone that works with even small million dollar revenue companies on IT solutions. You guys are simply pathetic and should be embarrassed, I expect some compenstation to those who are extremel loyal to you. Expect a huge backlash and I will focus energy and money for competing against you. I have spent 1000+ hours PLUS help you make a better product over the years without acknowledgement and I hage spend $2000+ worth of revenue on your game THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD!!!

I can almost (sort of) understand one night's processing being delayed by the implementation of a major upgrade. Is this a major upgrade? What sort of upgrade is it?

Hmmmmm. Not sure what is going on but it seems like this whole thing is dependent on one or two individuals. Maybe TSN needs to put more resources into SOM online. The game must be generating serious cashflow. Sometimes only be complaining can improvements be made to service.

I'm sure Bernie and the other guys (are there any other guys?) are doing their best but it seems like there are not enough resources allocated to this business.

While I understand your frustration (and believe me I am frustrated too!) This kind of rhetoric is not going to help anyone. Bernie has already stated that he would make it up to us and I believe that he will. We all want to see our scores....we all paid good money to play in this league...and we all have to wait until TSN gets their server situation taken care of.

Having said that, they have the best product on the market and you'd have to invest an awful lot of time and money in order to become their competitor and thats assuming that Strato-matic would be willing to work with you...they endorse TSN on their website. So instead of threatening a very tired technician why dont you go to bed and check out your scores tomorrow? :roll: Just a thought!

I have upgraded 10000users systems and we have ALWAYS HAD a recovery paln.


ANY truely good project HAS HAD a good backup plan, to be down a day is simply pathetic and lacks leadership. I do not except this type of decision making. Maybe they dont care about it as much as we do and probably that is their biggest problem.

We have to remember that TSN's revenue comes from publication sales and not the game we play here!!!!!

I have invested more time into the TSN product then anyone else period. I have written software and created things for TSN WITHOUT A DIME!!! SO LET ME RANT!!

Hey man I understand and agree that TSN has royally screwed this up. But its not Bernie's fault, the fault lies with TSN. You are right they sell news papers and this is not their top priority. And who cares as much about strato as a bunch of nuts like us? Well no one does! But still harsh words and threats are not going to further our cause at all.

And when this is fixed none of will care anymore because all we want is our box scores. This problem is a blip on the screen that will be gone tomorrow (hopefully)

My real concern is as to why they didnt just postpone the games that were to be played today. I think that their focus on the bottom line is a bigger concern than the server issue although the two issues are probably related.

lol, already know of all the net-leagues and I have created live drafts for them.

I have talk to Hal ( founder of SOM) so I know the situation. the $$$ for me just dont make it work yet since I make more on what I already do but if I get more of the regular pissed off enough (already happening over ht past 3 years) Im sure it could take offf.


Some of us have been around since the beginning and we know the inside and outside of the game ;)

Im not threatening people at all, Bernie is a good guy. I have done beta testing him for years so I know him more then most.

Here is the thing though, some of us spend thousands per year on this product so we expect a certain level of quality. If we dont get it we will spend money on getting that quality. I know already of products being developed to compete in this market. If they get a guy like me its a huge benifit because I can write web apps (live drafts, auctions and so on) in my sleep further improving those products.

TSN dropped the ball on me and this product with this BADLY PLANNED upgrade


If you make bad decisions you should pay for them at some point. Maybe this is the time they pay. That is my opinion, they have made too many mistakes period.
