Down to ONE. That Cardinal/Royal combo is a tough one. I think a choice of the follwoing combos might work to fill this. Tampa/Florida, Colorado/Arizona or Seattle/San Diego. Just my 2 cents.

As stated before we have a few decisions to make... I think the consensus of the league is a hard 5 Free Agents per team limit... that means always having a minimum of 19 core franchise players for the roster I start the season with... Decision Made...

Now what about drafting procedures? We will do a lottery to set the order. What incentive do I have for drafting my franchise players in the initial draft since I already have exclusive rights to them..? Why not draft the top 25 guys from the 6 open franchises, then after waivers replace 20 of the 25 with my franchise players... Any thoughts on how to address, or are you guys okay with this?

Also as a courtesy, if HAL gives me a player I do not have rights for say I am Chicago, and I get AROD when going after Atkins at 3b in the initial draft. As a courtesy, I should drop him ASAP so New York can complete his roster.. Any thoughts???

Do the player draft. Then put your team together with the 2 teams you have and the drafted players. I think this will eliminate any confusion. We can use the randomizer for draft postions. We should have an even # of rounds 4 or 6. With 5, a team with the top pick would be at the top of 3 rounds and at the bottom of 2. What does anyone else think.

Maybe I am a little confused. I thought the draft was for the players from the non franchise teams. If we are going to have a max of five, then don't we just have a five round draft, consisting of players from the 6 teams?

As far as the auto draft there should be no Hal issues. If we put only 2o players from our protected teams, plust the 5 draft picks on our card, there should be no duplication. I apologize if I am misunderstanding the rules.

PS- I think we should have to have a minimum of 20 players from our 2 teams.
Also we should clarify the rights to draft picks. I would say if they are not on your active roster, they are open to all, unlike your franchise teams.

I suggested 19 minimum franchise players because; 24 man rosters are fairly popular...

My initial intent for this league was that you would not be able to select any players that were not part of your franchise, or 5 free agents.. So if ARod is not on New York's active roster because he went with Wright at 3b.. no one else can take him at any point during the season because he is exclusive to the New York franchise...

Your reply assumed everyone would use 20 franchise players for the auto draft.. rights to your franchise players. Since there is a risk I will not get all 5 free agents, I might hedge and put more than 5 free agents on my roster on the auto-draft.. I can still clear off any non-eligible free agents off my roster after waivers...

Do you think we should put a limit on the number of free agents we can select for the auto-draft? and are you okay with the exclusive rights format?
