Theme Lg for Vets: My First Team - RULES DECIDED

Postby CHARLESBELL » Thu Oct 27, 2005 9:12 am

It's been really hard to fill any theme league I've been in this year. I've been trying to fill a league for a month now. Don't expect this one to take that long but I've talked to several folks and they just aren't playing as much as they have in the past.

Welcome Charlie. It may also be the time of year -- I recall starting some themes around this time in previous years and it took a while to get 12.

Can you guys check in periodically (daily), just to see where we're at and so it doesn't take too long once we get 12.

Hope it flies. I think this will be fun and I'm really looking forward to using my first team's players again.

Thanks

We're down to the stretch drive for getting 12.

Anyone have any feedback on the rules?

I was thinking we could join randomnly once we're ready rather than drawing for divisions.

Just a thought -- would it make sense to make this a $100 million cap league, to allow teams some more salary room to make up for some of their poor 2001/2 players?

Thoughts?

Prefer $100MM Salary Cap to allievate any concern with how changes in the methodology for calculating player salaries over the years might effect team composition.

I would like to join if it stays at an $80 million cap. That is what it was back in 2001 & 2002 and what makes this theme a challenge.

I've put together my AD card. Based on the current rules, I couldn't go over $80 million if I tried. But that may change depending on the FA's available after the AD.

Since divisions are randomn, I'm thinking we could start to fill anytime and the last 2 teams would likely end up in the west. But, are there any other rules we should debate first?
