halfway point: surprises? disappointments? worth-the-money?

[quote:2ffefcbfc9="rudeboy443"]Grant Balfour is a GOD! 93 games in:

54.2 IP, 1.32 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 31 saves, 99 K's. Plus home stadium is Great American.

Have to say--wost name ever for a pitcher. When he was a Brewer, he was horrible, so I was glad when they dumped him which shows you how much I know.

Monster card with zero BPHRs and BPsingles. Also a -1 hold and an e0 to boot! I could see this guy getting 175+ innings for a good team in a neutral park. R2s with a 3 closer rating are pretty rare.

Sorry, but Grant Balfour is NOT a GOD!!! THIS is a GOD:

0 0 16 0 19.1 7 0 0 3 30 0 0.00 0.52 2L

Those are Mr. Fuentes stats after 66 games.

Rafael Furcal

Rafael Furcal's card is the best short stop card ever,....that I can think of. You just need a really good backup because he will miss a lot of games. He is hitting .500 for me, with softball like statistics!

Yeah, but is 19 1/3 IP of great pitching really that life-saving? If Fuentes is that good, try getting him in to more games. I think I'll take my chances with R2/R3 guys like Balfour, Kuo, Arredondo, and Wade.

Haven't had the need to bring Fuentes with Carlson and Wade setting him up. :D So life saving...No, Game saving...Yes. And he added two more tonight

Jerry Hairston Jr. hasn't dissapointed me yet.

Plays alot of positions, hits everywhere, 0 DP's makes him great 2 hole hitter.

Course you'll need a good backup.

Hows this then?

Fuentes, Brian L R1/C5 3 2 40 5 78.1 57 19 16 33 79 1 1.84 1.15

He's still been pretty damn good in every league I'm in. Maybe not 0 era good, but damn good when counting the cost vs Soria and Rivera
