Not sure how these have been normalized etc, but there's also a spreadsheet out there to make comparisons (google "SOM Defensive Evaluations")
Anyway--the numbers I think are more valuable as relative comparisons (these are not meaningful as stand-alone values--they've been normalized in some way) but of course ideally you would be comparing runs created versus runs allowed for a net run differential with each lineup config. The defensive eval spreadsheet would do that I think.
But check this out--in this case it appears may be better to DH Manny if you have Izturis...

and here's another that accounts for arms, etc but again not sure how normalized and not sure if expected chances (i.e., weight factors) are accounted for...and don't know what the units are on the values--but again--relative trending appears correct.
