Not to stir up old wounds, but...

What made me think Nicole was a hoax was that the person that was supposed to have taken over her teams was her grandfather. Not a big deal, except the very evening she was supposed to have died he was on the message boards introducing himeself as the new manager of her teams, and the next morning he was making lineup moves. It didn't ring true.

[quote:c36afa23b8="wockenfuss"]Yeah, and Uncle and Woods are the same person..........a tortured soul indeed.[/quote:c36afa23b8]

If that were true we'd both kill ourselves, especially if the gun was in [i:c36afa23b8]my[/i:c36afa23b8] hand.

What is really funny/amazing is that we are all waxing nostalgic about this particular piece of SOMO lore. Who'd a thunk that this community would be the result when we all signed up for our 1st teams? I'm not a big online hanger-outer in chat rooms, blog sites, etc., but SOMO is definitely my online version of the Cheers bar. Good to see all you regulars wearing out your seats here. :P

I thought Uncle ws Nicole AND Bickel!!! Has that been disproven?

or, I could write this retort in UncleNY style:

Uh, uh, Woods is Nicole because i saw him come out of a girls room
and, um, uh, uh,
he's Bickel because Bickel was a musician and he plays the flute
uh, uh, get it, uh , uh

what nincompoop brought up this subject anyway?

Woods doth protest too much

Gil Grissom (CSI) should start a cold case investigation into Nicole's disappearance.

Gil: Woods, where were you on the night of.............?

Woods: Washing Joe the Jet's car for free data disks. I have no strat intuition and I need my teams to be hard-wired.

Gil: Well...I'll be a monkey's UNCLE!

y'all might want to go over to the ATG board, find the thread "why do you play?" and read errormagnate's post

I came to this after my step-son received a Chgristmas card from a family whose dying daughter just gushed about this game and its wondeful community.

Unfortunately I was too slow to play with this child before she passed.
I was just going to try it and see.

I found a community of caring people and a hobby that is in one word -FUN. Needless to say I havebecome hopelessly addicted and one of the more active players if not active chatters.

This has rekindled a boyhood interest that had long ago been dampened by my sometimes unusual life. I cannot begin to repay the hours of joy this game has given me and the wonderful people here are tremendous."

As I recall the discussion thread on Nicole was so intensive that it was posting replies faster than you could read. Finally TSN took it down off the boards.
