May I suggest that the first two rounds be serpentine 1 to 12 then 12 to 1, BUT that the third and fourth rounds give the 12 first pick then up to 1 and 1 down to 12.

Otherwise, the manager who gets FIRST pick of teams also gets the FIRST choice of "unaffiliated players."

This would give the 12th guy a little bonus.

round 1 1 to 12
round 2 12 to 1
round 3 12 to 1
round 4 1 to 12
