Your Rangers may be a surprise team in this league. You can hit, have good SP and now have a good bullpen. This will be a test to see if you can win with bad middle infield defense. A 4 at 2B and a 3 at SS.

It should be fun to watch!

This was a blast. You do have to keep stadium your team is in. The only strange item was if the players first year on the team was this year, you could not pick him.. i.e. Damon could not play for the Yanks.

Yeah, I joined a league like that one time and I had to look up every possible player on mlb.com to see what teams he played for. Sometimes a player had 2 ABs for one team and was then traded and became a starter somewhere else. I wouldn't want to join such a league again. It is too much research for me to be enjoyable.

Has anyone tried an 9-man draft (any combo of hitters and pitchers) and then FA'd the rest. You would have your base team to give yourself an identity but may be do-able on these boards over a handful of days. The kicker is that all 12 teams would have to choose Coors Field as their stadium! Let the FUN begin!!

Since we're kicking around ideas for the next league, here is one I found interesting. If I remember right, it was an AGT 2 league where each week you had to drop your highest priced player. They had it where you could pickup the player you dropped, but if you wanted to get radical..Can't PU player you dropped and drop highest priced hitter and pitcher..

Just an idea to keep everyone's mind off the butt-kicking by the Diamondbacks.. :lol: :lol:

How about you can only draft hitters below 3M and everyone plays in Petco! That would be cool! A slightly different idea would be that all players must be a W on at least one side of their card.

Iron Glove League - Another idea would be all players but be a 4 or 5 at the position they start at. You could use 1,2 or 3 fielders but they must DH. You must play in a hitters park. We would have to check to see if there are 24 catchers with a 4 or 5 rating.

Just some ideas for you to consider.
