I forgot about that rule... dman time to go re-do my draft card.... :(
damn... all I can say is that is damn hard to finish that draft card not using ANY players that was in the 01/02 game. It really takes away what you cna do, especially at closer! Anyways I am in.

Once the autodraft has run, you won't have to limit yourselves to post-01/02 players, which will make life easier for everyone.

5 in the league so far.

My Dilemma

Postby cminton » Thu Nov 03, 2005 9:07 pm

This is what I posted earlier...

How about if I get to choose which players to drop from my 2001 roster as long as:

1. I only replace them with $0.50MM guys from 2005.
2. I only drop just enough to get under $80MM.

However, if I do this I'll have big holes...

Can anyone think of a better solution?

You could leave off who you think is necessary to get you under the cap for the draft and if they weren't drafted you would have to pick them up. I'm sure not everyone of your orginals on your draft card will be awarded to you so you then should have some flexibility. I hope that makes sense.

BTW, my team is in we are halfway there.

How many players would you have to leave off your draft list in order to make a viable team?

If it's not that many players, I'd say go ahead and do it, but you can only replace them with post-02 players. That should still limit you in terms of how good a team you will get. (like the rest of us)

There are a lot of ways for me to get under the salary cap. I'll have to use some discretion. However, depending on how I do it, I'll have more or less money to spend on post-2002 players. I need some guidance here...

Cminton, how many players from your original team have 2005 cards? That might give us an idea of how many players would be reasonable to leave off your list.
