[quote:52d046a2ec="ndowdy"][quote:52d046a2ec="rgimbel"]my freakin back up catcher didnt get a card only one catcher on team dang it and it is kendall and he stinks[/quote:52d046a2ec]

That happens, just get yourself a nice sub 2.00 catcher, or sub 4.00 if he's played for your franchise and you'll be fine. :)[/quote:52d046a2ec]

I know I was just kidding but it would of been nice if my back up had been included he would of had a nice card and there are about a dozen catchers with less at bats

I have huge holes on my team but I am hoping that so do most other teams

I don't know whether I have holes but the Red Sox are loaded with injury prone players so I'll need depth. 10 out of 16 players have injury ratings greater than 1. I was also expecting to have Lowrie at shortstop, but not at a 4e21 rating, so I may have to live with Cora. I'm also likely not going to be able to fit one of my better hitters in order to fill some other spots. Based on the 4M EX player and 2M any player rule, I'm not seeing many transactions occuring, at least for me. If I have a player I am not using but he makes more than $4M, then I'm assuming he is untradeable since he wouldn't fit within those exceptions. So I either use him or hold him in reserve. I figured I'd find more ex-Red Sox players out there than I did (too bad Hanley Ramirez isn't less than $4M). This should be interesting.

I'm the one left in the Central...my team's ready to load, but I'm at work and can't access the site til I get home (firewall!!).

So I will be loading by 6pm EST today, then will password the West.

Yeah, the 4.00 million cap is a kicker, there are usually a few guys out there that you could use if the former player thing was uncapped, i.e. Polanco or Belliard for my Cardinals. There usually isn't much trading in this league, but I think it can happen with release of rights type moves etc. But the main point of this league has always been to play your favorite team, or a team you like in as much of their "real life" likeness as can be with some parity thrown in.

As a number of people here may know, I'm a huge Tribe fan, but I just couldn't pull the trigger on them this year for this league. Too many weak players to go with a few studs. Sorry Grady and Cliff Lee

I know what you mean, I've had to forgo my Cardinals a couple seasons because they were just too uncompetitive as far as TSN strat was concerned. But I figured this year they might be serviceable. I doubt I'll win it, but if I can finish above .500 I'll consider it a nice season. :)
