[quote:932acd1ce7="marcus wilby"]Nothing here as well, but I made the order only yesterday.

It's past 3 PM now.

I went thru Paypal instead of direct payment.

My guess is I would find my file under "purchased files", right? (I couldn't find any track my order).[/quote:932acd1ce7]

I did direct purchase and picked it up 4 days ago...

after 3:30 and still no response to e-mnail or a change in my order status..

Freakin ridiculous :evil:

Just called them again. All they'll say now is that they're processing them and it'll get done when it gets done. Look for an email I guess.

Got downloand, but I'll be grumpy anyway!

Actually, it is the first time I have ever purchased a strat tool like this, and it will be very, very helpful.

HOWEVER, I must say that, as long as we are going to town with an excel analysis, would it be too much to ask to get the odds for each of singles, doubles, triples and homeruns?

I use a simplified math model based on the ERP (estimated run production) model for run production, and I apply separate factors to each type of hit based on that model (which by the way ties into strats L-R ratings quite well). SO, the spreadsheet is a HUGE help - esp. since it IS in spreadsheet format - and I will just add the data on singles, doubles and triples from the cards themselves, and use the spreadsheet to automate the rest of the process!

Overall - very happy (just a teeny bit grumpy!) :) Geoff Brookes

Also no BB data to figure out injury ratings. Only ABs.

That's 'cause they print the injury ratings in the book,
They gotta have SOME reason for people to buy it besides using it as bathroom reading... :wink:

I back into the doubles, singles and triples, by making a guess on the 'average' number of 3bs and using algebra to get the other two.

I believe that when Bernie releases the final roster spreadsheet, he includes BBs.

Shouldn't their software have some mechanism to just populate the file into every user's account who has already prepaid? What kind of program are they using? I mean, jeez, they might as well just send it out on floppy disks (oh, yeah, never mind that).

Geoff, NERP is a linear model (isn't??). In any case, it's close to a linear model. And for all linear models, there is a direct correspondance btw, on one hand, hits and total bases, and on the other hand, singles/doubles/triples/homeruns.

I don't know what that formula is for NERP, but to take the most known model:

0.47*1B + 0.78*2B + 1.09* 3B + 1.40*HR

is exactly similar to:

0.16*hits + 0.31*TB

because of these transformations:

0.47= ((0.16)+0.31*1)
0.78= ((0.16)+0.31*2)
1.09= ((0.16)+0.31*3)
1.40= ((0.16)+0.31*4)
