I really like keepers and the 24 team leagues for them but don't like the shuffling divisions to put all the best teams in one division. Penalizes doing well. Also on the flip side, while one of the bottom feeders gets to make the playoffs, it is going to push them down the draft order for the prospect draft making it harder for them to improve.

So for now am a maybe.........though my guess is ultimately resistance is futile.... :oops:

On the other side- having to play 2 seasons with no hope of a winning record or making the playoffs can be really tough. 2 seasons gives everyone a chance.

Why is it necessary to have this list here?

And do we buy a 2010 team right now? Is it for 2010 initially? Is it unleashed?

Is the initial draft an autodraft?

Salary cap?

List here? So we know who is going to be in the league. the League will be continuous (year to year).

2010 Initially, then 2011, then 2012, etc... as time passes

Initial draft is a live draft.

No Salary cap.

First round unlimited, usually, then 3 hours between picks. No need to buy now. Park picked as part of draft.

1) Time limit will be 30 minutes except for the 1st round (1st will probably be unlimited). With the short time limit you will probably need to use proxies (list players you want in order if you can't check in and make every pick) the diamondope draft site should make that easy.

2) No unleashed

3) Do not need to buy until league fills and draft is completed. League could fill quickly since it's getting close to full or could take a while longer. You buy a team the usual way, pick the 24 team lg option, pick the no unleashed, salary cap and dh rules we are using and choose private league. Turtle will have the league listed and tell us the password. Then you will "autodraft" the players you drafted in the live draft, and choose the stadium you drafted.

4) Park selection will be during the draft, probably the last pick of the draft but that was not specified in the rules.

5) The Turtle is the commish and will have final say on rules, drafting, etc. (my answers are based on the rules listed on page 1 of this post). I'll go ahead and add you to the list, all you have to do is copy and paste the last posted list and add your name to the next available slot.

Assuming this is your first keeper league, it's fun but is more time consuming since you need to research rookies, prospects, and uncarded players for future years (and will result in obssesive boxscore checking). If you have any other questions just ask.
