glennglenn,

You have to be one of the first teams I have seen at coors not hitting close to .300. You only have one player above .300
I think you are getting hosed by Hal and whoever is his little friend rolling the imaginary dice.

Hosed by HAL???:) I guess.. the team is doing ok- we'll see the rest of the way....BTW I'm not a frank thomas fan- too much time collecting splinters on the bench- but if I were to use him coors is the place

you have some problems I forsee with that team:

a) a good lack of obp. 36 ob chances does not a leadoff hitter make, and it's not like it's great behind Furcal. ! see lots of 1 run bombs...

b) Too many hitter, period. Get down to 13, use the money to make your starting 9 better.

for instance, you could say change your lineup to have N Jonhson at 1b (leadoff) and pick up Arod for SS, move Murton to LF, dropping Crisp, Furcal, Tracy platoon, hidalgo, etc. Give you a lineup teams of Miller/Closser (you dont need 3 cathcers), 1b Johnson, 2b Kent, 3b Glaus, SS Arod, LF Murton, CF Kotsay, RF Gibbons, DH Thomas.

actually you'd be just a bit short for that, so I'd actually suggest dropping linebrink and meadows for say witasick and eischen. Us that extra 1 mil to shore up you backups with as few players as possible.

if you really want to save money, you could change out Glaus for Edwin Encarcion! I ahven't but ona tema inone league these are his stats so far:
38 115 19 30 11 0 7 19 6 38 0 0 .261 .298 .539

Ahhhh.... but I'm just brainstorming out loud.... but for sure your teams obp needs to be higher. I usually make my lineup then will get the average hits/obp/tbs/hr/bp hr/cl for the lineup vs L and R. I want the averages to be about 28+/40+/40+/3+/3+(more for coors)/dont matter

your teams falls belows these right now, and I actualyl havent lookd to see if my suggestions would even raise that up....
:?

I'm probably just confusing both of us

confused????

I had gotten advice earlier to use Tracy and Perez as a platoon and that Furcal was good to go at short.

I do have the extra lf in Murton and Crisp and that is 4 mil I don't really need tied up, but N. Johnson at 1st is 3 injury rating
and A-Rod is too expensive even if I drop Furcal and Crisp.
I am nervous about having a 4 in left field full time as well.

Anyone else feel free to chirp in here and give some other examples or Ideas of what I can do from here.
