Trades

They seem almost impossible to me. Do you have to trade the players dollar for dollar so that the total of your free agents stay at $6mil, or can you then pick up free agents off of waviers to total 6mil? :?

The 6mil cap is only for your three drafted players off the 6 undrafted teams. For simplicties sake whe we draft those 3 players it will be helpful to post their name and TSN salary.

It DOES NOT apply to trades. and trades should not happen ( as roster won't be set ) until the 3 round free agent draft is done.

So no you certianly do not have to do dollar for dollar swaps as you are allowed to trade players not even on your active roster.

The only free agents you will be allowed to pick up after the drafts are players remainaing from your 2 teams that weren't on your darft card. Those players remain under your control for the duration of the league and may be traded even if not on your active roster. All others free agents from the 6 undrafted teams are [b:168a46fadd]TOTALLY OFF LIMITS[/b:168a46fadd] for the entire season once the drafting is all done.
To put it another way, lets say the 6 teams that are undrafted are Seattle, Tortonto, Pittsburgh, Washington, San Diego & Cincinatti. There can be no more than 36 players active from those 6 teams at any give time.

Does that answer your questions???

I should have clearified myself yesterday , the theme as it was proposed will be fun 2 teams 1 from each league and 3 free agents from undrafted teams (with total salary no more than 6mil for the 3 combined),what I was against was after we had everyone signed up there was possibly going to be a rule change . I will stay in even if the majority ends up voting for a trade cap I don't want to screw things up for everyone. I just don't like curve balls thrown at me after I am hooked on the original theme ,rules etc I could always hit the straight fastballs but the curves always screwed me up

1st, I believe a trade maximum makes sense, however, I am niether for or against.

I back the majority, as others have stated, dont wish to see anyone drop out b/c of a rule change. Lotto fever ...starts...NOW!

I work second shift(restaurant manager) but I will be home from work by 10:30pm tonight, and even earlier Tuesday night. Tues. I will be off by 9:00pm EST. And Weds. I am off all day. I just found out my Mother has breast cancer(bummer I know, I guess you guys did not need to know that, but I am kind of in shock, but I want to assure everyone nothing will get in my way of our drafts) Thanks guys, I am really excited about this league and theme, although I have NO IDEA what my strategy, or the teams I want will be. So tonight's lottery is a go! Let's have some fun!

sorry to hear about your mom. Mine got diagnosed with Parkinson's a month ago, so i know how you feel.
On another note, is there a cap on trades or not? We should know this before we draft teams
