The '70s Game and Back to the '80s will immediately gain all of the site enhancements they've been missing for all these years. In addition, we plan to offer updated salaries for these games at some point in the future.

Here comes the usual question/concern that us mystery fans have. The 80s game especially desperately needs more players injected into the player pool. Past conversations with you have led us to believe that we'll be getting more players for that game as well. Have things changed and now that is not going to happen?

Inquiring minds want to know. =)

Congratulations Bernie! You have been the MVP since the beginning. Although I've played a lot less over the past few years, as someone who has been playing the game for 10 years, this development sounds like great news. More important, you're still with the game. You always listened to our suggestions and incorporated as many as your resources permitted into the game. Sounds like you have more resources from the company that founded the game. Great work! Thank you! May the force of HAL be with you.

Since SOM is taking over, do I see the chance for, say 12 of us (or possibly even 16 of us) managers replaying, for instance, the 1921 Season in addition to the regular leagues we currently have?

I think if anything it should make credits cheaper with SOM taking over the on-line game. TSN had to pay SOM for the rights to use their game and cards. SOM will not have to pay any other company, although they will have to hire more computer programmers and I am sure they will have computer server expenditures.

I can tell you guys that I have the newest version of the CD-ROM and the computer managers (Hal) perform almost exactly the same as they do here. There are not any plans to completely overhaul the game engine anytime soon, if at all. Though they do make little improvements each season. And that is fine with me. I just hope the customer service from SOM improves.

But overall I am sure this is good news in many different ways for all of us. I have a feeling there will be an influx of new and old SOM players.

Too bad I've been rewriting Diamond Dope in Fortran and Foxpro.

Good luck, Bernie!

It's not rational to complain about the ride in a car you haven't even test driven yet.

Has nothing to do with having been here for 8 years or not.
