[quote:6581f085ef="nevdully's"]With out going into too much detail, about two years ago Rivs went to Bernie with about 15 of us committed to help across all the games. Rivs, Frank Bailey and Moriarity, Petro, DonFESQ, myself and others...some of the best from the 70's and 80's game and 2 or 3 vets from the 200X games....we were going to monitor the boards, help new players, handle all the bothersome details like request to correct spelling of team names etc...Bernie seemed pretty warm to it, as only Rivs would have some "limited access" behind the curtain so to speak, the rest of us just willing to help....But after months of planning when it came time to move forward with it Bernie just changed his mind. He said thank you very much, but he just didn't feel comfortable....But maybe those who can should ask Bernie if we can help again?

Certainly something to pursue again, in fact, very much so. But for right now the immediate need is well beyond that, yes? Seems a database admin and web developer...or a chiropractor!

Interesting if we knew what the backstory is on SOM's perception of the potential of the online game.

Just noticed from waivers yesterday one of the guys in the league dropped the same pitcher twice to pick up 2 different pitchers

Will this ever be resolved?

Reading the posts on this forum do help with my fixation with Strato on-line, but what if this issues can't be fixed? Sounds like SportingNews is wiping their hands clean of this site, and if Bernie can't fix all this mess, then what? Guess I'll be able spend more time with installing our invisible fence, huh?

I think it's pretty clear what SOM's perception of the online game is based on their actions. At this point it would only come as a mild surprise if this truly were the end and there simply weren't any more SOM Online.

That would require a cash return to us, or a class action lawsuit and some very, very bad publicity.

Don--I guess that is plausible, but it seems unlikely they would have dove into the venture in the first place.

That's my point; maybe they gave bernie full control over the whole endeavor...so at this point they either leave him flailing without help or they roll in a tiger team

Strat-O-Matic credits back your credit cards for any purchase this week - easy, they're done

I'm pretty sure that prize credits have no cash value, so it would only be purchased credits that TSN would have to deal with. Probably a small price for them to pay to divest themselves of what must be a money-losing proposition.
