Its a lot easier for one person to carry a team in hockey, and basketball for that mattter to a championship, than it is for one person to do so in baseball. As mentioned in a previous post, take a look at his postseason stats, what else to you expect one person to do for heaven's sake? And until they stop calling the American league winners the AL Champions, then yes, he has won a championship. Bottom line, your requirement for what makes a player overated or not, is based on the rings he wears, so you have to bring other players into the arguement to support or critique your generalized statement.
If one was to say the 05 Yankees were overated, I'll buy into that. To single out one player from a team of twenty five, well perhaps its time to reevaluate YOUR knowledge of sports.
Here's to Gabe Kapler!!!! The most UNDERATED player in baseball because he has a ring!!!!!!!
