especially with the lack of cards and options in 24 team leagues. u need all the cards for those leagues . if u pay they play. price the cards accordingly and it shouldn't be a problem.

has there ever been a card that was so dominant overpriced or underpriced that it had a super dramatic effect on a league?

It could be argued that in earlier days the cheap closer tandem added some drama.

Bonds, when he was in the 14M instead of the 17-18M later on.

Josh Thole - 57 - 2.96 (catcher ; L-6R) ...[/quote:cbfcb61d4c]

Too bad about Thole -- he'd be worth a look as half of a catcher platoon (maybe with Paulino?).

I remember Pedro Feliz 3B, 2003 year...incredible season. 2.31M salary, and hit 58 HR, 138 RBI, 0.306/.348/.647 BA/OBP/SLG percentages.

I always thought his card swayed a lot of teams that year.

But Feliz had 235 at abs that year, so if the same card showed up this year it would be included. Loved that card BTW, he hit 42 hr's and drove in 108 for a 100 win team that won my only championship that year.

Yeah he had 235 AB, but I thought for his salary it was a phenom card. To me, one of the keys to TSN Strat is getting the biggest bang for your buck, and having Feliz's production at 2.3M is comparable to at least 6-7M hitter. Too many times I've seen big salary guys not proving their worth versus slightly less expensive guys. This is especially true for SP's.

love the crazy card reflections, especially for us who have only been online for the last couple years.

this one of my players favorite performances. 1999 season.
43 dingers 108 rbis , as a platoon player at 1.28 million

May, Derrick L RF 4(+2)e5 449 74 114 11 0 43 109 39 49 0 0 0 .254 .311 .566 9R 1.28M

Frank Thomas..loved the card. In fact, loved Minute Maid Field in 2006. The heavy favor of right handed batters was awesome. One of my best years overall. Since then, I don't think we've had a park that favors one side of the plate over the other. But in 2009, looks like Oakland Coliseum will be the next best thing. Had 100 and 101 win teams, and did not make it out of semi-finals! [/url]
