Reelin' in the Years League -- Draft started

Are there player cards that are available in our online version that are NOT on the CD version of the game?

OK I must be missing something. I do not see where the 2001 -2005 sets are offered on the TSN Strat site. First I see is 2006. Where do I look?

It was really hard for me to find it too. But it's there. Try this:

Draft update

Postby tcochran » Tue Mar 16, 2010 9:26 am

OK, here's the draft update for this morning:

somdraft: I asked Gregg to put the 2001 database back online last night -- it's not a regular offering on the site -- but that's not done yet

diamonddope: I've sent 2 emails and a PM to agabriel but have received no response yet

stratdraft: yes, they can setup the CD-ROM version for us to draft -- it's my understanding that there are many more players available there, than in the online set -- I would prefer to avoid that confusion, if possible

[quote:db19b9a4a5]Can't wait to draft ! I'm new to this kind of keeper league and draft...
What exactly is a proxy ? (I'm from Québec (french...)). Is it a notification by e-mail ?

Happy to be in with all of you,

Jean-François[/quote:db19b9a4a5]

A proxy is a draft pick (or series of picks) you can setup in advance, such that when your turn rolls around, the system will automatically follow your instructions and submit your pick.

Hi,

I'm sure there is a disadvantage to just drafting in a discussion thread like this, but I don't know what it is. Is it that the player list doesn't update as we go?

Hi Padre, yes, we could draft in a discussion thread like this -- which means we could start right away -- but it gets to be a bit cumbersome over a 30-round event.

The beauty of any of the "organized" draft sites is that they track the players drafted, show who's still available, monitor the draft clock (time allowed for each manager's turn), and prep ongoing rosters as they grow.

Let's give it a bit more time...

Let's draft!

Postby tcochran » Tue Mar 16, 2010 6:41 pm

OK, there's good news and other news:

somdraft.com will not be supported much longer -- and 2001 data will NOT be added to that site.

diamonddope.com may eventually add 2001, but the priority there right now is to get the 2009 card set up.

Oh, and the good news? Let's not wait any longer! Let's start the draft on our individual league chat thread at:

LUMBERCOMPANYSOUTH, YOU'RE UP!!!
