Well I guess it is up to me to bring up the elephant in the room.

THAT IS ONE KILLER BUD!

Bernie, you have always known how I feel. It is about you and the family and that sure the hell is not this game. Get well my friend and get well.

My dad always said "You want to worry about something worry about your health, money is always right around the corner."

I am going to take another look at that BUD!

[quote:091cd5748d="bernieh"]Hi everyone. As the email said that many of you received today, [b:091cd5748d]we are postponing the transition indefinitely.[/b:091cd5748d] I spent last night in the emergency room and have a procedure in the hospital scheduled for tomorrow morning. in light of this, we had no choice but to delay this.

We do have a new target date in mind, which we'll announce as soon as we're we can hit it (i.e. if I'm not gonna kick the bucket!). More details and updated info is forthcoming.

Thanks for your understanding.[/quote:091cd5748d]

Oh my. Take care of yourself, Bernie. This stuff can certainly wait.

P.S.--If you do kick the bucket, put it back later where you found it.

Just a quick note to say that I'm still in constant discussions with my new bosses at Strat-O-Matic about when the new schedule for the transition will be. They want to make absolutely sure we're ready before we make any sort of announcement so we don't have to send out any more retractions.

Smart strategy.

As my former boss (one of the top CEOs in the country) was fond of saying,

[size=18:85e0d94698][b:85e0d94698]"Under promise. Over deliver."[/b:85e0d94698][i:85e0d94698][/size:85e0d94698][/i:85e0d94698]

(and I do hope the talks aren't literally "constant." THAT could be very tiring. Glad you're okay, Bernie.)

Best wishes Bernie -
thanks for all you do, have done and will do -
I have told the hospital to keep all buckets away from your room...
God Bless - and grant you a speedy back on your feet
Harry

PS - no hurry on that question of why HAL would not move Milt May out of the DH spot to replace an injured Blanchard - and why Frank J THomas caught 17 games and Todd Cruz caught in 11 (yes I know they would've filled in the game Doc was injured - but not the full games that followed.
I solved the question by dumping May and adding Dempsey - who will never dh (I hope)

Still discussing. One of the things that's in the mix is Strat-O-Matic.com will be simultaneously re-launching their main site with a new design, and they're still waiting to settle a few pieces over on their side. Currently we're looking at either this weekend or next weekend to initiate the shutdown and transition, but I'm not allowed to state anything officially until at least another meeting tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have some news then; if not, well, then not.
